Monroe Crossing is off to a great start this year as January consisted of a very successful 3-week tour. Our travels took us to Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas and even the Bahamas. Nice weather, good people and a lot of fun shows. It was a fantastic tour but, despite the cold temps, it's nice to be home. However, we will soon hit the road again.
Later this month we travel to West Chester, PA for a performance of The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass. The performance is on Sunday, Feb. 19 at West Chester University where we will collaborate with the university's Master Singers under the direction of Dr. Ryan Kelly.
The rest of our appearances this month take place in Minnesota. On Feb. 5 we return to the Laskiainen Finnish Festival in Aurora. On Feb. 25 we have an evening show in Albany. The following day, Feb. 26, we will be in Hinckley for a matinee performance. Please see our schedule below for more details, or, visit the schedule page on our website.
News Flash! - Monroe Crossing recently confirmed we will be leading the Jam Camp at the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old Time August Festival. Jam Camp begins on Tuesday evening and wraps up early Thursday evening just as the festival officially gets under way. Registration hasn't begun yet but it's not too early to start planning ahead. If you want some instruction on how to be a better bluegrass picker and singer then block off the second week of August and attend Jam Camp. More details coming soon.
